MotorPoints is our way to reward our most active members. You can earn prizes just for inviting friends and fellow enthusiasts to come visit your web site and/or to join MotorPride!

Here's how it works |
You can see your MotorPoints in a red box in the left column of your homepage. It shows 5 numbers: |
| Current Month::: The accumulated MotorPoints for this month. They count towards the current sweepstake and can earn you prizes. |
| Total::: The total of all the Motorpoints you accumulated so far. No prizes awarded for this one but nice to look at ;-) |
| Site::: The total points you have received for votes on your site in the current month. These points can earn you prizes! |
| Photo::: The total points you have received for votes on your most popular image in the current month . These points can earn you prizes! |
You will qualify as a potential winner at the end of the month based on how many points you have accumulated during that month. Don't forget to check out the Scoreboard to see how you rank.

| Voting Points - Points for votes you receive |
You will also receive "voting points" every time someone votes on your content: links, articles, images, videos or your site. (For example, if someone votes a 5 on any of your links, images, articles or videos you will receive 5 points.) |
You can only vote once for each particular site, video or image. You can change your vote at any time though.

Here's what else you should know |
 How do site, photo or video points work?
|
You will also receive points every time someone votes on your content. The points will be added to your MotorPoints and they will also be tracked separately for your site and your top scoring image and video.
Example 1:
Your site receives 10 votes of 5.
You will show 50 site-only MotorPoints for this month and 50 points will also be added to your overall MotorPoints score.
Example 2:
Let's assume you have 2 photos posted.
Photo 1 has received 5 votes of 4 in the current month.
Photo 2 has received 5 votes of 3 in the current month.
Only the first photo will count toward you photo-only points. Your photo only points will show a score of 20.
Both photos will count toward the overall MotorPoints though. A total of 35 will be added to your overall MotorPoints.
Too complicated? Push a few buttons and see what happens with your score. Your own votes count as well.

How do you track referrals? |
|
Members need to use the "invite" button underneath the red navigation bar to
send an email invitation to their friends. The recipient needs to open this email
and click on the link back to the MotorPride page. The referral system uses cookies
for tracking. If an email is sent to an incorrect email account or the recipient does
not have cookies enabled, MotorPoints will not be assigned.

| How can I find out who is winning? |
Your total MotorPoints will show up on your homepage. Your can check your ranking versus others on the MotorPoints scoreboards. Simply click on MotorPoints in the red navigation bar and the scoreboard summary will show up. The scoreboard is broken up in 4 categories: Overall:::, Site:::, Photo::: and Video::: . You can check on the monthly and lifelong rankings for each category.
You will only show up on the Scoreboard once you have built a site.

| Will the top scorer always get the prize? |
No, not necessarily. MotorPoints will be tallied after the close of the month and each of the leaders will be audited to affirm authenticity of MotorPoints earned. Any sites which MotorPride believes to have "cheated", including, but not limited to, generating false members, or attempting to manipulate the allocation of MotorPoints, will be disqualified from the contest and forfeit all MotorPoints gained.
Two other restrictions apply:
1. Winners can also get only one prize per month.
2. Winners can't win prizes twice in a row.

What do I have to do in order to participate? |
|
NOTHING! Every registered MotorPride member is automatically eligible to win. Not registered yet? Well, yes you do have to register then ;-)
